Day 2 Leg 3

This is what it's all about.  This two-lane road called TransCanada 17 will be your guide for the next day or so, and believe me when I say that you'll be sad to leave her when you've reached her end.

Along the way to Marathon, where we will be staying for the night, are too many places and views to mention.  This is the time not to be in a hurry. Stop early, stop often, and go at your own pace.  As you ascend a hill and crest the peak of the road, the view of the upcoming pavement will be surrounded by sheer beauty.  Pine trees, lakes, and rivers will compliment the deep blue water of Lake Superior as you ride along. Try not to go through all your film at once (we're looking in the direction of a few individuals here...) and please take your time and enjoy this stretch of road.

Before the town of Wawa, there will be a scenic overlook on your right - be careful, this one comes up quickly and it's a view you don't want to miss. Here at the Agawa Bay lookout you will most likely find a number of your fellow riders searching aimlessly for words to describe how they feel. Don't be surprised when you find yourself talking in sentence fragments and repeating the word "wow!!"

The ride from Wawa to Marathon takes you inland a bit, but the beauty and peace of the ride will not diminish as you ride along.  Again, there are so many places to stop during this leg of the day that we can't list them all here.  Why not find a place of your own along the way and let the images and memories of the day sink in. Eventually we will all meet up at the hotel in Marathon.  I am sure there will some good stories.
