2006 Trip Change:
After extremely close voting, ATL2006 will be a standard trip, 5 days, counter-clockwise around Lakes Michigan and Superior.
There will be a minor hotel change to allow for a stayover on night number 2 in Wawa, so that we can party with Brenda and Marcus. Details will follow...
Last Minute Hotel Changes/Cancellations:
As this trip continues to grow, it becomes more and more difficult to make last minute changes to plans. When you sign up, a hotel room will be reserved for you, and as you know, I do these reservations on my personal credit card. When you check in, the hotel will ask you for alternate payment.
I will close the signups for this trip on April 15, 2006. I will then pester and annoy anyone who is signed up as anything other than a "Yes" and if you do not change to a "Yes" by May 1st, I will assume you are not joining us. If anyone needs to drop out of the trip after May 1st, I will do my best to cancel the hotel rooms without monetary penalty. However, should this not be possible, I expect the person who has dropped out at the last minute to ante up for any cancellation fees that are unavoidable.
Also, if anyone for whatever reason will be unable to make the hotel for the night, it is your responsibility to contact the hotel and cancel your room. Any fees incurred will be your responsibility to cover.
All of the hotel information will be readily available to you before the trip. Please be sure that you have the name, address, and phone number of each of the hotels with you, just in case.
Border Crossing:
If you are not already aware, the requirement to posess a valid US passport in order to cross the Canadian border has been delayed until 2008. We are still OK this year to cross the border with a driver's license or a stamped copy of your birth certificate.
