Introduction:
"If you want to be truly successful invest in yourself to get the
knowledge you need to find your unique factor. When you find it and focus on it
and persevere your success will blossom." -
Sydney Madwed
Eleven years and still going strong. Clearly the
continued success of ATL can be attributed to the people...nobody can disagree
with that. The individuality brought by those from different backgrounds,
different geographies, and different lifestyles combine in such an interesting
way to make ATL more than just a trip. It's a trip with friends and
family, some of whom you might only see once per year, but you look forward to
that time as the seasons pass. That's not to say that the actual ride
itself is anything less than incredible.
If you're new to ATL,
welcome. The standard disclaimer is, this is not a guided tour. We
have a starting point and stopping point each day. What you do in between
is up to you and you alone. There will always be people willing to
ride with you, and they will always understand if/when you want to go off and
ride by yourself for a while. There are places to see, both new and old on
each trip. Many of the places mentioned on these web pages are
common places that we go to each year, but everyone is encouraged to go off on
their own, explore, find new things, and then share them with the group (see the
picture below for a perfect example of this). There is a "route" put
together to help you find your way, but you cannot be encouraged enough to use
this as a guide only. The essence of ATL is variety - seeing familiar
faces, returning to those places that you want to see each year no matter what,
and finding those new places that will stick with you for a long time.
In the following pages, the details of the trip will be discussed.

are discussed.
Thanks, and welcome to ATL2008!
