If you're not running out of time, then you didn't spend enough time exploring thus far.  Ashland to Superior is only 65 miles, so if you're at Ashville before 5:00, don't make the mistake of going right to Superior.  This group can drink a lot of beer, and you might go bankrupt quenching all of those thirsts should you be the first to arrive. (Tim - you the man!)

Take Route 13 North to Bayfield and follow it around the peninsula.  It will meet back up with Route 2 after 118 miles.

Those of you who find darkness upon you...don't worry, you've got one hour left.  Proceed west on Route 2 towards the bridge.

The hotel will be immediately before the bridge to Duluth.  Heading into Superior, Take Route 2 to Route 53 and follow the signs towards I-535 to Duluth.  If you find yourself on a very high bridge over the lake, you've gone too far.
